Ms. Caffee has been teaching in a traditional school setting since 2008 and has called The Academy home since 2018. Before setting her sights on teaching she enjoyed various non-profit or government work opportunities for the likes of AmeriCorps and the Marine Science Consortium in Wallops Island. She also interned as a Park Ranger for the US Army Corps of Engineers and worked as a Junior Naturalist Coordinator in a county park. She enjoys bringing in real world applications to her lessons and especially enjoys taking her students out to experience it for themselves! Her mission statement is, “To inspire a love of learning in her students, by fostering an environment that is open-minded, yet demands the discovery of evidence and promotes critical thinking which enables students to grow as aware, concerned and pro-active citizens.”
